EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 permits supplying the operating manual digitally. That creates a new standing obligation for your clients: the address on the type plate must stay reachable for the life of the machine, and the operator must receive the version belonging to their machine.
In practice your engagement ends when the PDF is delivered. What happens afterwards (hosting, versioning, reachability across decades) is rarely part of the offer, yet clients ask about it.

You can offer digital availability as a standalone, recurring service instead of handing it to an IT department: setting up products and versions, mapping serial number ranges, print-ready QR labels for the type plate, and a monthly availability record your client can file with their technical documentation.
